ONET Occupation Search Worksheet

Print this worksheet by clicking on the small yellow printer icon in the upper right hand corner.


Directions:
  • Use an occupation from the CIA worksheet or choose any occupation of interest

1. Find your job on ONET to learn more about requirements

Under ‘Explore Career Options’ go to 'Research Occupations' page, then go to the ONET link

At ONET:
  • Click on Find Occupations
  • Enter your SOC Code or a keyword into the Search box and click Go
  • Under the Reports column, click on Details
  • Read through the Tasks section.  Write down the top 3 most important Tasks on the table
  • Do the same for Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Circle the Tasks, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities that you like or think you would like
