- On the ‘Explore Career Options’ page, go to section Research Occupations
- Choose at least 2 websites to view, and find your occupation on each site
- Write down any new information about the job in the top part of box below
- Under Research Occupations, use the link titled Find Your Next Steps
- Enter your job title to view next steps and compare skills. Write any notes below
2. Reflect on what you have learned
Consider all the information you have about your occupation.
- What do you like the most about the job?
- Is there anything about the job you do not like?
- What new things will you learn to prepare for the job?
- What kind of classes do you need to take to prepare for the job?
- Are there related jobs you may be interested in
3. Think about it!
Based on what you’ve learned, does this occupation still interest you? Yes or No
Do you want to learn more about employment opportunities? Yes or No
If yes, save your work and discuss with your counselor.
If no, start over and research a new occupation.
