- Correct spelling and grammar
- Simple, clear sentence structure
- Text tailored to each position applying for
- All information present on resume
- Experiences relate to job in a meaningful way
- Includes experiences that demonstrate employability skills such as responsibility
- Includes specific examples of necessary skills
- Content that relates only to the job, no personal information
- Looks great, easy to read
- Even page margins; bullets line up
- Balanced amounts of text and white space
- Important information is highlighted (bold, underline, or italics)
- Standard fonts, size 11 or 12, e.g. ARIAL or TIMES NEW ROMAN
